The Chief Guest, Mrs. Seema Sharma, an icon of Basketball in her time at national level declared the Championship Series open by cutting the ribbon in court and the Day-1 fixture followed. In the first round, the first match was played between Bulandshahr and Pratapgarh. The Team Bulandshahr cleared its intention by beating its opponent by a huge margin of 19-02 points. In the second match, Gorakhpur won against Moradabad with 38-34 points. In the next match, Lucknow beat Aligarh with a score of 47-21. In the 4th and one-sided match, Gautam Buddh Nagar defeated Bareilly by 28-04 points. Meerut Team made 21 points while BLW Team scored 9 points and lost the match. Agra lost to Varanasi in a clash in this round with 27-50 points.
Simultaneously, in the first match of the second round, Lucknow absolutely outshined Pratapgarh by 31-02 points. Varanasi beat Ghaziabad with a margin of 48 -26 points. Again BLW Team was defeated by Gorakhpur by the difference of 05-25 points. In a tight match, Prayagraj beating Bareilly with 37-11 points cleared its way to the next level. Balia lost to Agra with 02-26 points.
