The School arranged an educational trip to visit NAPS (Narora Atomic Power Station) for class XII PCM & PCB students (2015-16). The students visited the reactor building, control room, environment survey laboratory, fire, first aid, tower and other services at the site. The students have a detailed information about the various stages of functioning of the stations such as: functioning system of reactor building, cooling tower, control rooms, role of environment survey laboratory, percentage of radiation is under control, doze is taken by a working person in nuclear field, site’s safety for local people, positive & negative effects of radiation on life, agricultural land and animals, opening and under working of other nuclear plants in the country, formation of nuclear bomb through the wastage of uranium use of used uranium under recycle method.
The students of class II were made to pay a visit the neighbour places & surrounding of the school. They were explained about the existence and importance of these places.
The students of class III were made aware of a letter’s departure to its destination and the working method of post- office, the school organized a short tour to the local post office.
The students of class IV went to a supermarket to make them aware the importance of supermarket and advantage of having one in their locality. They also got more knowledge about shopping.
The school arranged a visit for class V a fire station. In an interaction session, the authorities guided them about safety in and out of school and they also taught many Do’s’ and Don’ts’ in case of emergency.
The school held a small visit for class I to different religious places to develop understanding and respect for the diversity of faiths and values of different religions and their cultures.
A one day trip to the Red Fort was organised for the senior students on 17th January 2016. This trip was sponsored by an organization named ‘Itihaas’. In this trip, a team of 46 students visited one of the important Indian monuments and were able to make themselves with the real meaning of “Heritage” through various activities and quizzes. Many hidden things were came out and recognized. It was a complete learning oriented trip.
The school organised a small visit to Khurja city famous for pottery in all over India. The students came face to face with the condition of the workers working in the pottery and how beautiful they prepare different things of attractive items. Things used in ceramic were clearly explained and many wonderful things came into the student’s knowledge.
The Drama Club of the school made a visit to the students of this club to National School of Drama, (NSD) New Delhi. They got privileged to be theme to encounter many aluminis of NSD. The students witnessed the acting of different children of different states through songs and dance & form and they were in touch with the cultural activities of different states.
Many craft stalls were installed to enable the students to learn different forms of crafts like clay modelling, craft work, using paper strips, puppet making through old and waste material and many more.
This short trip to NSD left an imprint on the mind of learners and taught many things as well.
