A series of 4 days of 21st Youth State Basketball Championship came to a close with a glittering ceremony at Renaissance School, Bulandshahr. Before the final match of this mega event, a match was played between Lucknow and Gorakhpur for the 3rd place and Gorakhpur bagged the 3rd place after beating Lucknow with 33-22 points. And the most long-awaited time for clinching the Championship Trophy arrived. Varanasi and Gautam Buddh Nagar had a clash in the final match. In this nail-biting match, Varanasi, carrying on their exceptional skills throughout the tournament beat Gautam Buddh Nagar with a margin of 46-34 points and lifted the Championship Trophy. The players and the officials of Varanasi team were extremely excited to hold the winning trophy in the midst of the basketball ground.

On this grand event, Dr. R.K. Bhatnagar, a Retd. IAS Officer graced the stage as the Guest of Honour, addressed in his short speech that it is indeed an honour for Renaissance School to host the state level championship. The teams from various districts have strengthened the spirit and unity of sports, leadership, discipline, enthusiasm and valour, said Dr. Bhatnagar.
