Renaissance School Conducts State-Level Mock Exercise on Fire & Earthquake Safety

September 18, 2026

Renaissance School successfully conducted a State-Level Mock Exercise and Awareness Programme on Fire and Earthquake Safety on 18 September 2026 at 10:00 a.m., in accordance with the directions of the Uttar Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority.

The programme aimed to strengthen preparedness and equip students and staff with the knowledge and skills required to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies. The fire alarm, siren and hooter systems were activated, followed by a systematic evacuation through designated, obstruction-free routes to the Assembly Point.

The earthquake safety drill focused on the “Drop, Cover and Hold” technique, safe evacuation practices and precautions to be observed during and after an earthquake. A practical fire-safety demonstration, conducted under expert supervision, familiarised students with the safe use of fire extinguishers and essential fire-prevention measures. First-aid arrangements and post-evacuation headcounts were also ensured.

Adding vibrancy to the programme, the students showcased their creativity through posters, banners, slogans and a safety quiz centred on fire and earthquake preparedness.

Under the guidance of Principal Mr. Ashok Mathur, Vice Principal Mr. Kuldeep Singhal and all the teaching staff, the exercise was conducted smoothly and safely. The initiative reinforced the spirit of “Preparedness Today, Safety Tomorrow”, fostering a culture of awareness, responsibility and resilience among the school community.
