On 9th October, the primary wing of Renaissance School has witnessed the celebration of Dusshera, a festival that resonates the victory of good over evil.
“The spirit of Dussehra inspire you to walk the path of courage.”
With an elegantly adored campus and a festive atmosphere, the Dussehra programme begun with highlighting the significance of Dusshera. The event was graced by the presence of senior administrators and our esteemed Headmistress, adding to the festive atmosphere. The Headmistress addressed the gathering and emphasised the importance of understanding the deeper messages of festivals and how they can inspire us to live with integrity and kindness.
The centre of interest was a beautiful musical act that depicted the story of Lord Rama’s triumph over Ravana.
“Goodness prevails—today and every day!”
The musical act displayed the journey of Lord Rama, from the beginning of his birth to the fourteen years of exile and finally to end of evil. The students were dressed in vibrant costumes, enacted key scenes from the Ramayana, bringing to life the characters of Lord Rama, Sita, Ravana, and Hanuman through expressive movements
“As effigies burn, let go of all negativities.”
The celebration not only honoured the festivities of Dussehra but also embraced the spirit of Navratri. Students, dressed in traditional attire, took part in these vibrant dances, filling the school grounds with energy and joy. The event also featured a special dance performance representing the various avatars of Goddess Durga reflecting power and grace of the goddess.
The event was concluded with burning the effigy of Ravana which captivated the audience.
