Dussehra is one of the most significant festivals in India. The celebration of Dussehra indicates the victory of Lord Rama over Demon king Ravana. Today this festival of Vijayadashami is celebrated in the Renaissance, Primary wing, with great enthusiasm and traditional gaiety. Students of class 1st A and Sen House enacted the tales of Ramayana. All the students were dressed up in beautiful attire. The audience thoroughly enjoyed their acting and dance performances.
The students also performed the group dances followed by a fascinating Kali dance, impressing the audience with the costumes and jester.The different manifestations of Durga were worshipped and flowers, prasadam and prayers were presented as an offering. Students had a great time and enjoyed it wholeheartedly.
All the mesmerising performances made the celebration worth viewing. These fascinating performances were witnessed by the honourable senior administrators.
Before the celebration came to a close, the statue of the demon Ravana was burned to show the victory of Sri Rama with the crackling sound of firecrackers.
Felicitation programme was also held for all the winners who participated in various interschool competitions, held in the Nehru World School and Ahlcon International School.
Senior administrators presented all the Trophies, Shield and Certificates of Merit & Excellence to the winners.
