Day 1: A Display of Power, Precision, and Passion
Bulandshahr, August 28, 2025 – Service aces, assists, digs, blocks and undeniable talent filled the air as Day-1 of the 8th Inter-School Volleyball Tournament: 2025 began at the Renaissance Sports Arena. The event saw a blend of competitive energy and sporting spirit as teams battled for glory.
At Renaissance School, Bulandshahr, academics and athletics go hand in hand—where talent meets opportunity. Aligned with the vision of Fit India, Healthy India, the school proudly hosted this two-day mega tournament, welcoming 19 CBSE-affiliated schools from across Bulandshahr. The opening ceremony began with a warm welcome of the Chief Guest, Mrs. Indira Sharma, the Chairperson of the school. The occasion was marked by a grand march past led by the school’s NCC cadets, followed by a vibrant cultural programme that showcased the school’s spirit and creativity.
The tournament was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, declaring the tournament open. The first serve was delivered by Mrs. Indira Sharma, the guest of the day, setting the stage for a day filled with exhilarating volleyball action. The Principal, Mr. Ashok Mathur, in his address, emphasized the importance of sports in building character and unity. He urged all participants to compete with integrity and uphold the spirit of sportsmanship.
The Chief Administrator, Dr. Abhirag Sharrma, the Senior Administrators Mr. Vishwas Sharma, Mr. Shivam Mohan Sharma and the Administrator Mr. Varun Kaushik were in attendance throughout the matches, encouraging the players and appreciating their dedication and teamwork. All matches were conducted on a knock-out basis.
In Pool- A, Renaissance School, Bulandshahr secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Azad Public School, City Branch in a league match. The host team continued its winning streak by beating Modern School, Yamunapuram in back-to-back sets (2-0) in a quarter-final match, earning the first spot in the semi-finals. Simultaneously in Pool-B, Babu Bodhraj Convent School, Sikandrabad secured their place in the semi-finals after a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Azad Public School, NCR in a league match, followed by a convincing 2-0 win over Azad International School, Chitsaun.
In Pool-C, the spectators were treated to a nail-biting performance by Santosh International School, Bulandshahr, who emerged as the third semi-finalist. The team dominated both its matches, defeating R.S. Olympian Memorial School, Shikarpur and K.D. Public School, Lakhaothi with clean 2-0 wins in the league and quarter-final rounds, respectively. Sunrise Global School, Maanpur, delivered a stellar performance in Pool-D as well, clinching the fourth and final semi-final spot. With precision and teamwork, they triumphed 2-0 against both Divine Education Institution, Sikandrabad in the league match and Vidyagyan School, Sikandrabad in the quarter-final.
The stage is set for an electrifying showdown for the two semi-final matches, followed by the grand finale, will be held tomorrow, promising a day filled with passion, perseverance, and pure volleyball spirit.
