Taking part in any sports has its merits. But volleyball in itself is a league of its own, providing students with a plethora of benefits like organization, teamwork and communication.
A two day series of 6th Inter-School Volleyball Tournament came to an end on 23rd November 2023 with a high profile final clash between Renaissance School, Bulandshahar and Sunrise Global School, Manpur and resulted in, the latter clinching the Renaissance Volleyball Trophy and the host team became the runners-up. All the matches kept audience engrossed till the end.
Renaissance School made its way to final after beating All Saints’ school, Bulandshahr in the 1st semifinal match with the score of 25-18 and 25-16 in two sets. Though the host team displayed an excellent hand throughout but had to satisfy with the runners-up. Simultaneously, displaying effortless efforts throughout the tournament, Sunrise Global School, Manpur beat NUS Public School, Bulandshahr in the 2nd semifinal by 25-20 and 25-17 points and became the second team to book its berth for the final, beating the host team in final, emerged as a champion and remained unbeaten team in this series. All Saints School, Bulandshahr bagged the 3rd Place.
In presentation ceremony, Mr. Abhirag Sharma, the Chief Administrator along with the Senior Administrators, Mr. Vishwas Sharma and Mr. Shivam Mohan Sharma, the Administrator, Mr. Varun Kaushik and the Principal, Mr. Ashok Mathur welcomed the dignitaries, congratulated the winners, alongwith other team members, felicitated the players for their marvellous performance, acknowledged the efforts of the players and gave away the Renaissance Trophy to the winning team.
To the cheerful audience, the principal addressed “Along with academic proficiency in today’s age, sports also plays an equal role to achieve your career. It helps you to maintain discipline and helps students to achieve the goals of your life.”
The tournament was a great success as it witnessed a healthy competition and a spirited fight amongst the participants. All the players participated enthusiastically and displayed excellent sportsmanship which was evident in the matches.
